Template Display

1. WHEN DO YOU USE TEMPLATE DISPLAY?

When your scene becomes complex.

2. WHAT DOES TEMPLATING THE DISPLAY ALLOW YOU TO DO?

Templating the display of some of the objects in your scene allows you to more easily select only the objects you want.

3. HOW DOES THE OBJECT CHANGE WHEN YOU TEMPLATE THE DISPLAY?

Changes to a wireframe and changes color.

4. HOW DOES THE TEMPLATE DISPLAY HELP YOU?

By preventing you from selecting of modifying it accidentally.

5. HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE DISPLAY OF OBJECTS TO TEMPLATE MODE?

From the main menu, select Create, then click on Object Display, then hit Template.
6. HOW DO YOU UNTEMPLATE A TEMPLATED OBJECT?

Same as the past question but hitting the Untemplate button instead of the clicking Template.


7. HOW DID YOU WORK WITH TEMPLATE DISPLAY IN THE LAST LESSON?

By Templating certain objects so we wont change it in anyway so we can be able to modify the objects we wanted with ease.


Components

1. WHAT IS A COMPONENT?

Geometric shapes, like the primitives in Maya

2. GIVE THREE EXAMPLES OF A COMPONENT.

Examples are the vertices, faces, and hulls.

3. WHAT DOES A COMPONENT ALLOW YOU TO DO IN MAYA?

Components allow you to work with objects at a finer level and allow you to edit them in creative ways.

4. WHAT ARE THE STEP TO SELECT A COMPONENT OF AN OBJECT?
sET THE SELECTION MODE TO COMPONENT MODE. tHEN RIGHT-CLICK THE WIREFRAME OF AN OBJECT.

5. HOW DID YOU WORK WITH COMPONENTS IN THE LAST LESSON?
bY EDITING PARTS OF AN OBJECT TO BE EITHER LONGER, THICKER, OR WIDER FROM CERTAIN POINTS.
